PURE Youth Doylestown Warrington
Doylestown, PA
Hello there! Welcome to the Doylestown-Warrington chapter’s website. The DO-WA chapter was started in February of 2021. We started out with a small but dedicated group of ambassadors, and over the past few months, have rapidly grown into a chapter of 13 members. Over the course of our chapter’s existence, we’ve participated in 2 projects, organizing 3 fundraisers, smashing our goals with each fundraising project. The DO-WA chapter is full of dedicated, passionate volunteers who strive to make sure our objectives are executed to perfection. The Doylestown-Warrington area is lucky to be part of a wonderful, supportive community like PURE, and we can’t wait to see what we can do next.
Community, cooperation, and leadership. These are the three main ideas that Pure Youth, an organization that advocates for empowerment through education, supports. In December of 2020 into January 2021, Hema Kanthamneni urged one of the lead mentors to develop a chapter in the Doylestown Warrington area. Immediately, two directors (Harika and Priyanka) convinced 5 of their friends to join. The Doylestown Warrington Chapter in Pennsylvania entered the ever-growing organization of Pure Youth in January 2021. In 2022, the chapter has over 10 ambassadors who are enthusiastic, excited, and empowering. With positivity and hard work, the ambassadors, mentors, and directors of this chapter have supported various causes through fundraising and volunteering, helping the community.

Projects :
Winter/Spring 2021 - PURE Femme
Eager to help the community, our chapter planned out the very first project in less than a week. We were raising funds for PURE Femme, a subgroup of PURE that advocates for menstrual helath education. Quickly but orderly, our chapter organized a Valentine’s Day Bake Sale that sold PUREly perfect pastries to the community in order to raise funds for our cause. This project was a huge success as we received over 100 orders!
Summer 2021 - Vocational Training
Entering the hottest season of the year, the Pure Youth Do-Wa team decided to host a book sale and lemonade stands to raise money for the Vocational Training program, an initiative that helps women find financial stability through education. WIth the team’s enthusiasm and collaboration, we ended this project season with a wonderful outcome.
Fall 2021 - Local Shelters
To conclude this year of successful projects, the Pure Youth Do-Wa Chapter held a Diwali Sweet Sale, encouraging the diverse community to enjoy some Indian sweets in celebration of Diwali. After receiving numerous donations from our donors, we decided to donate the money to two local shelters: Manna on Main Street and Peaceful Living. Along with donations to those two shelters, we conducted a food drive and collected several pounds of food. The New Britain Food Pantry was happy to receive our food drive donations. What a SWEET ending to our first year with Pure Youth!
Valentine’s Day Bake Sale
Cakepops, cookies, and chocolate-covered pretzels all placed in a pastry box built with hard work, dedication, and commitment. On Saturday, February 6th, the Directors of the Doylestown-Warrington chapter of PURE Youth, Priyanka and Harika, established the idea of selling pastry boxes to the community in the spirit of Valentine’s Day and to benefit PURE Femme, a menstrual health initiative that supports women in need of sanitary products. To initiate the very first fundraiser in such a short time frame, the DO-WA team came together to bake all the pastries (with a cookie tray donation from a local bakery!). Hours of dipping cake pops and pretzels in chocolate, throwing trays of M&M cookies in the oven, and passionate cooperation was a result of receiving over one hundred orders of pastry boxes from the community. The team’s positive mindset ultimately led to an incredibly succes Ysful outcome of several delighted customers and numerous donations for the benefit of PURE Femme. With the present time crunch, this event could not have been outstanding without the contributions of the motivated DO-WA mentors, directors, regional coordinator, and ambassadors. The amazing result was PUREly FEMME-tastic!
Book Sale & Lemonade Stand
On Wednesday, July 7th, the Directors of the Doylestown-Warrington chapter of PURE Youth, Krishna and Harika, established the idea of hosting a book sale and lemonade stand to raise money towards Vocational Training for Women in Uganda. These vocational training sessions include tailoring, design, and business classes allowing women to learn more about financial independence. Over the course of the next two weeks, the ambassadors organized over 500 gently used books and sold them next to a local ice cream shop. Later, the team hosted the book sale with a lemonade stand in a Farmers Market. Who wouldn’t love an ice cold cup of lemonade during a hot afternoon in the middle of July? The ambassadors’ hard work, collaboration, and leadership contributed to the success of this project along with the help of our regional coordinator, DO-WA mentors, and parents. This was a PUREly positive and perfect project to participate in!
Diwali Sweet Sale
Throughout the months of September and October 2021, the Directors of the Doylestown-Warrington chapter of PURE Youth, Krishna and Harika, established the idea of selling Diwali Sweet boxes to the community in the spirit of Diwali. The ambassadors and mentors of the DO-WA team came together and packaged these PUREly perfect sweets into beautiful boxes and sold them to the community. The outcome of this fundraiser was amazing! The team’s positive mindset ultimately led to an incredibly successful outcome of several delighted customers and numerous donations for the benefit of two local shelters called Manna on Main Street and Peaceful Living. Along with the monetary donations to the local shelters, the team conducted a food drive and donated the food to New Britain Food Pantry. With the enthusiasm, positivity, and hard work of the mentors, ambassadors, and regional coordinators, the DO-WA Chapter accomplished so much this fall project season!
Car Wash
Mother's Day Sale
Throughout the months of March and April 2022, the PURE Youth DO-WA chapter has been hard at work in organizing the Spring Car Wash to raise money for the Clean Water Initiative. Our ambassadors and mentors teamed up to set up an awesome car wash, and had a lot of fun doing it, too! Even though we haven’t reached our goal yet with this project, our positive mindset still made it a really fun event to be a part of, and we look forward to doing another project soon! Our enthusiasm and hard work made this a terrific project to do, and we can’t wait to accomplish even more in the near future!
Summer Service Project
Thanksgiving Bake Sale
