PURE Youth Bellevue

PURE Youth's Bellevue Chapter commenced during the 2021 summer. Even though the pandemic had continued, we all had learnt that wonderful social service opportunities could still be found. This all started with the help of one of the Columbus Chapter's Mentor (Latha Kopuri) who is also the Director's family member. She had told all about PURE and how each child's life that is impacted will bring warmth to your heart and give you a sense of righteousness. With immediate interest, the Director (Manas Bodapotula) had set up an introductory meeting and invited all his friends to inform them of PURE Youth. However, at the end of the meeting, only 1 person joined who shared the same passion. It was such a struggle to find more members. So, Manas had invited folks from his community and childhood. Currently, with the help of the PURE Youth Head Team and our wonderful ambassadors, we can support appropriate organizations through perfectly planned fundraisers. Kudos to them!
As of now, we have 6 ambassadors who are exuberant to give sufficient time commitments to this organization: Manas Bodapotula (Director 1), Arushi Sinha, Darsh Iyer (Director 2), Advaith Voodem, Puneethsai Desai, Rithvik Manchu, and Akhila Bourampeta.
Our first fundraiser which we started in the Fall 2021 was a Diwali Sale Fundraiser. With the large funds and donations that we got, we were able to buy gifts for underprivileged children (Birthday Dreams), donate food to a food bank in need (Renewal Food Bank), and donate more food to help a Stock the Shelves Campaign which helped build a store full of supplies to the poor and homeless people (Hopelink).
